Fun Google Searches

Also known as Easter Eggs, there are a few words or terms that, when typed into Google as a web search, create an effect in your browser. I first came across this when I saw a tweet saying type tilt into Google. Well, I did, and the Google results window actually tilted!

Here are a few others I’ve come across…

do a barrel roll

let it snow (not sure if this still works, doesn’t in my browser, Chrome)

gravity (also doesn’t work for me)

These don’t have “physical” effects, but take a look at the first result returned…

the answer to life the universe and everything

find chuck norris

who is the cutest person in the world

once in a blue moon

what is the loneliest number

Yeah, it’s the small things 🙂

Here’s another cute one tweeted by @Green_Guerrilla today. Enter the following into the Google search field and hit Search…

    sqrt(cos(x))*cos(200 x)+sqrt(abs(x))-0.7)*(4-x*x)^0.01, sqrt(9-x^2), -sqrt(9-x^2) from -4.5 to 4.5
